Last April I went on a bit of a drive with my boy along Stockton Beach and then we headed off to Anna Bay to see the camels.
There is a tourism spot on Birubi Point where people flock to go on a bit of a jaunt on a camel along the beach or sand boarding. On public holidays you can’t even park your car there because there is literally no room. I do feel sorry for the locals having to deal with the chaos and confusion of the tourists visiting on all the public holidays. Buses, 4WD, cars, vans… all shapes and all sizes visiting all the time, it must get very frustrating for the locals.
The company that runs the Camel rides are Adventure Camel Rides. The camels are well treated and rested up appropriately. Their head camel is a handsome dude called Sid. He is a super chilled out camel.
If you are ever in the Anna Bay Area, it might be worth your while to visit these dudes and head off on a Camel adventure.
